Hi, this is not a big deal today, but you have always salted the street at least to the bottom of the hill. I realize it's a dead end street, but they stopped just before the hill last night. I hope they will go a little further next time so it will be easier to get up the hill if the road gets really bad. Thanks for all you do!
Just a reminder that the Winslow Farm neighborhood has several traffic islands (circles) that are city streets. There has been some confusion in the past about whether the snow plows show clean the roads around those islands. Our house is located on one of them, but there are several other circles in Winslow Farm.
Patterson Drive, especially at the Intersection with W Third Street/Isaac Drive, is covered with snow and there is zero visibility of the road lines or even where curbs are. I have watched cars slide due to lack of salt on the roads and I have watched cars run over curbs and unintentionally drive on the sidewalk because you can’t see where the road is especially at night. My car shown in the image was parked along Patterson (public Bloomington parking zone, not private lot) before the snow came, so that can be used as a reference for where the road is. If snow will continue to heavily fall, making plowing difficult, could reflective traffic cones be placed to outline where the curbs are for drivers to see even when snow is covering the roads? This intersection proves to be a relatively common spot for accidents even in daylight during the Summer, so I am especially worried for the winter months. The driving path to get from the intersection into the gas station also is in poor condition, but that may be private property (meaning, it is the responsibility of the gas station to clear the snow). The alley connecting Eagleson to highland Ave has Duke electrical polls lining it and never gets cleared. It has all of the driveways for the houses connected to it and will restrict us from leaving. It is a city road/alley and with this amount of snow I feel should be cleared this year. Please add to plow routes.
Plow trucks came through and plowed all the snow behind my vehicles,when there is no cars across the road. Really appreciate it.
The dead end part of E Maxwell Lane that extends East from the intersection with High St. has not been plowed at all since the snow.
I would appreciate it if the snowplow could clear Prospect Hill and put down some de-freezing salt, as I hesitate to dig out my car and try to drive with the amount of snow on the road. I'm in the 300 block of South Fairview Street. Many thanks!
Snow plow came by, tore up some yard at 3225, pushed a bunch of snow into the driveway of 3234, spun out, driver had a breakdown in the truck, then drove away. Job is not finished, and that driveway needs to be liberated.
About 6 feet of snow infront of drive ways that have been piled up due to plowing. This is up and down the street.
