There was an accident on the street in front of my house last night. It damaged a tree in the grass between the sidewalk and the street. (4037 E Bennington, Gentry Honours ) Bark was torn off 3/4th way around the tree. It will likely die if not treated. Please have someone look at it. Also there is car part debris (bumper and grill) that needs removed.
U Report # 210060 Hi again, I'm following up from yesterday's U Report. Duke responded immediately with the information that the wire is a cable line. Duke recommended that I get back to my local Bloomington government because since I've owned this house I have never had cable service, therefore I do not know whose line it belongs to. Do you have any record as to who owns/is responsible for this abandoned cable line? And is there a statute of limitations for an abandoned line - can I cut it down myself? PREVIOUSLY REPORTED, NOT RESOLVED: I reached out to you on April 7, 2026 about an electrical wire that is sitting on top of my garage; it runs from my house to the electric pole in my yard. You recommended that I report it to Duke Energy - I did, on the same day - Ticket # D7806903. No one has repaired this dangerous situation yet, I am very concerned about a wire touching my garage which has my car and lawn equipment stored inside. What do you recommend should be my next steps as Duke was unresponsive? OTHER : Since that time, I noticed that there is a very large tree/branch on the town property in the rear of my yard. RE: Electrical Wires - rear of property at 404 E 1st Street 1. An electrical wire is touching my garage, it connects from my house to the electrical pole at the rear of the property. This may have occurred when the tornado recently hit the area. See the left image in the attachment. 2. There is a dangling wire coming from the same electrical pole at the rear of the property. uReport Case #210299 Attn: Jeff Yutmeyer I want to re-open this case because when I went to the rear of my yard this afternoon, I saw that Xfinity/Comcast, cut the cable from my house and let it drop into the thorn bushes. This presents more of a fire hazard because there is a layer of dry leaves on the ground; the cable is still attached to the electrical pole.
