There is a "tent" structure in the front yard of this property. The legal owner is deceased and her adult children occupy this house without paying taxes. The homeless people who congregate here do not have access to a bathroom or sewage system. The property is littered with clothing and trash. This property has been under an abatement, which I believe ended when the property was sold recently at the Treasurer's tax sale. This property continues to be an eyesore and a health concern from feces & urine (from lack of restroom access), as well as rodent & insect investations. I have also seen needles from drug use scattered on the road in the past.

Hello Betty, Thank you for reporting this issue. This sign is intended for the pedestrian detour for folks to utilize the north sidewalk along W 2nd Street while the new path is under construction. I will pass this note to the project manager for this location to see if there are any adjustments that may help clarify the setup.
This doesn't make sense unless the sign faces WEST as well as EAST. A pedestrian heading east is heading AWAY from any closed sidewalks. If it DOES face both ways, PLEASE COVER UP THE WEST FACING SIGN before a driver turns left into College into oncoming traffic. Thank you!

Similar to case #212602. Green Acres on Fifth St, between Roosevelt and Jefferson, several addresses have trash bins in ROW, trash on tthe ground, or large items.

It is so difficult to get into the doorway at the lower level entrance to Fountain Square on S Walnut St (the closest entrance to Brightside Cafe) in a wheelchair. The metal transition strip looks bent and doesn't span the full height of the step, so it's not fully wheelchair accessible. Very hard to enter without a push-to-open button in a wheelchair. Still very difficult even if someone holds the door for me, because of the height of the transition.
Let me know if you'd like me to show Michael Shermis in-person. Thank you.
