This sign is intended for the pedestrian detour for folks to utilize the north sidewalk along W 2nd Street while the new path is under construction. I will pass this note to the project manager for this location to see if there are any adjustments that may help clarify the setup. This doesn't make sense unless the sign faces WEST as well as EAST. A pedestrian heading east is heading AWAY from any closed sidewalks. If it DOES face both ways, PLEASE COVER UP THE WEST FACING SIGN before a driver turns left into College into oncoming traffic.
