The City needs to think in terms of the waterfall or cascade of issues when they do something. College Ave is closed south of 3rd. The detour goes west to Rogers, south to 2nd, and east on 2nd to College. But, the City has messed up the intersection of 2nd and Rogers. The most obvious problem is the removal of the left turn arrow for south bound Rogers traffic at the 2nd intersection. That’s genius. The other big issue is that from the time the southbound Rogers light turns green to going back to red, it was 18 seconds today. That is not enough time to get normal Rogers traffic, let alone detour traffic from College, through. And, not enough time for vehicles turning left from Rogers onto eastbound 2nd to allow northbound Rogers traffic to clear and then make a turn with no arrow. Any way to fix this light with an arrow and hold it open on green longer? Today at 2pm, not even a busy time, traffic was backed up almost to 3rd, and it took a ton of light cycles to get through going south on Rogers. No idea how this gets overlooked.
The traffic signal for southbound traffic on Rogers heading to the intersection with 2nd Street is a mess. Why is there no left turn arrow? Why is the light only 18 seconds from the time it turns green to when it turns red again? The detour for College Ave. being closed to southbound traffic goes onto Rogers south to east on 2nd, yet this is the best setup we have? An 18 second traffic signal with no left turn arrow? Brilliant.
Yesterday, two men came down the street in vests cleaning. They had two big shovels with them and shoveled all of the debris and dirt out of the both sides of the sides of the street and threw it onto my property. This previously nice white gravel, well-kept parking place now looks like this. I don’t figure there’s anything that can be done retrospectively, but it would be nice if the city would these workers to not do this to other people’s property.
There is an abandoned Honda Accord parked in front of 808 S Stull Ave. It hasn't moved in over a year and has MANY parking tickets. The parking on this street is at a premium due to the 9 unit apartment complex it is parked in front of. There are 2 abandoned cars on this street (see also Service Request ID: 212068). Can the car please be removed?
