The storm drains have been very clogged on the 500 block of south Woodlawn well before the cicadas and excessive rainfall. These need to be cleared to prevent cars from hydroplaning in standing water and “sidewalk tsunamis” that hit pedestrians when a car passes. Thank you.

There appears to be a broken water main because water has been rising to the surface on my property the past 5 days. My front north sidewalk (photo attached), east sidewalk, and south concrete garage floor have been soaked for the past 5 days. My basement is dry and no pipes are leaking in my house. Storm drainage culvert on East side of Binford Elementary is continually flowing clear water even during dry summer times. It is flooding the front yard of 648 Woodscrest downstream. just started this summer. We thought it was runoff from the school AC units but now that weather has cooled, it is still flowing. Concerned there is a broken pipe under the school or nearby that is flowing continually into this storm drain under the school.
At bottom of driveway is larger patch of frozen water. We have had numerous water lines breaking and wonder if this is another? Ice patch is in curb and in street.
We had a storm water drain added a few years back (THANKS- we really appreciate the added drain) - The issue is that the drain causes accumulation of standing water at the base of the drain. We have had an abundance of mosquitos the last few years - & last year Trudy contacted meningitis - so we want to be careful and mitigate any risk! Is there a way the drain basin could be have aggregate (stone or grave) to the standing water? We appreciate your help - Kevin & Trudy Keough -
We continue to have storm water pooling in the drain in front of our house. We appreciate having the drain; would hope there would be a simple solution to mitigate the risk of pooling of storm water - in particular the risk of mosquitoes and the public health risk the bring - thanks - Kevin and Trudy Keough
Drainage issue behind my house (2201 E. Autumn Drive). Rain water goes to the Jackson Creek but since last year the pipe has been damaged and now huge area has been damaged by the rain water. Big huge trees are falling (another one about to fall) because the rain is sweeping all the soil and roots have been exposed. Please have someone visit the site ASAP.
In 2019 we received a residential storm water grant to have a ditch at the back of our yard redone. It was done with large riprock. During the last big rainstorm large rocks were carried into the storm drain which could cause a clogging problem at the next big rainstorm. They are located at the drain in our neighbors yard at 1100 S. Nancy Street, as well as in the drain in the street. We need the rocks to replace them and repair the ditch as it drains 17 properties. Do not take the rocks away after removing them from the storm drains.
