Bethel Lane construction. For weeks this community has continually been taken hostage by a private company attempting to “fix” water lines. This company continuously blocks traffic at unnecessary times. It seems to always when school is letting out that they decide to keep traffic stopped, even though they, and the City ya ensured the county they would not hinder this traffic and work with the schools for ease of traffic flow. I find it extremely frustrating that the City of Bloomington would care so little about about it’s residents and families. This heavy traffic and blocked traffic pattern has cause myself and many others late from picking up a child at school or getting home to get a second child attending a different school. I hope that some one from this office or one from above can look at these many projects around Bloomington and actually manage them in accordance to the community and just not profit margins and revenues.

The storm water drain/inlet in front of our house isn't able to handle to load of rain and debris which runs to it. This morning at 4 am our basement dampness alarm went off and had to go clear the street drains as all the water was running down our driveway from the three storm water drains in front of our house (1 is across the street). We installed a swale two years ago to divert the flow of water for our driveway but it isn't large enough to handle the load of water runoff from the drain inlets in front of our house flowing down our driveway. I attached a picture from this morning after I was out at 4 am cleaning the drains with it clogged again to show the issues. I apologiz I didn't take a picture across the street but if you run by today (11/27) you can see it also is already re-clogged. Any time we have a large downpour I have to clean out the drains or we have flooding in our driveway which backs up at the mouth of the swale then flows into our garage then house. Please HELP!

Desperately need the leaf vacuum to grab the leaves around the intersection of Blair and 11th. I scooped up the ones that had completely blocked all 5 storm drain grates at the intersection, but without removing the leaves from the rest of the street they will just wash in and block them up again with the next rainstorm. Last time they were blocked was in the spring, and they caused the water to jump into our yard and flood our basement.

The Hunter foot path, between Eastside and Mitchell, which is maintained by the city, has a spring bubbling up through the pavement at the west end of the house at 500 Eastside Drive. You can see that the water is undercutting the pavement, and the city can expect that it will collapse in upon itself sooner or later. Hopefully, not when somebody is walking or biking over it.

During rain, the surrounding mud and grime around the skatepark at the new Switchyard park drains into the park itself since there is no finished edgings. I don't know what sort of timeline the construction crews have on getting to this, but I just wanted to point out how bad it gets. Some friends had to get wet and dirty in order to unclog one of the drains and get the water out from the park. We had to get our own brooms out to clean this up later on after it had dried. I understand it's cold season and there may not be anything to be done, but I feel like it needs pointed out. The skatepark itself is wonderful, but the work around it has been poorly taken care of. Excess water seems to be coming out of my drains at the street, even days after it has rained. My water bill was high last month, and I thought it was for other reasons. Now I am worried that there is a leak.

There appears to be a water leak at the corner of N Jackson and 17th St. It was really wet yesterday morning. Today, it has frozen and cars slide when coming to the stop sign. Could be really dangerous. Thanks!
