A resident called about runoff "behind the AT&T store on Willis." He said that he attempted to call utilities about it multiple times but the woman answering the phones was not helpful and claimed that it was the OOTM's oversight and not theirs. He did not want to leave his name or contact information with us. I'm not sure what the process looks like for this, but if someone could check on the water runoff in this area, I think it would be helpful. We have received a few emails about it as well.

I have a problem on my property with drainage. The drainage of my property runs off naturally into my neighbor's yard. His address is 3514 Morningside Drive. When a storm comes, his back yard pools and remains there for a few days until it is absorbed into the ground. I discussed with one of the neighbors how this might be resolved and volunteered to help pay for pipes that would carry the water that pools in their yard to the ditch along Morningside Drive. The neighbor didn't think that would work. Now they have dug out a deeper hole in their yard and are installing a "Sponge Garden." My understanding is that this will retain water and will not allow my yard to drain. This area has backed up into my basement in the past and flooded it. It seems to me that this will occur more easily with the installment of the "Sponge Garden." I appeal to the city of Bloomington to send engineers to come and see if there is some way that water can be drained into the ditch along Morningside Drive.

In FYI about water meter on Fess north of 4th Street. When I stepped on the concrete around the meter, it all levered up. I think the gap is visible in the photo. Utilities checked area on Fess N. of Second- found no problem with meter pits- did see an open hole in tree plot marked in white.Does not appear to be utility related.

Allison Oeding, the property owner of 4445 East Moores Pike called Wednesday, March 22nd around 3:40pm to complain about a reoccuring problem that she has been having over the past year. Her property is adjacent to the old water pump station. At this water pump station it seems as though people have been placing sticks and leaves along the side of it. On two seperate occasions during this last year, she has had to clean up this area because it has been attracting things such as wasp nests. New water meters are being put in along Old State Road 37. There is a safety issue with the mess left behind. Workers have left large trash piles and large mounds of dirt behind where pedestrians walk. The gravel is settling and leaving dips in the grade.
