Here is the content of the email we received at the Mayor's office. "The electric company’s tree trimming crew was recently working along the B-Line trail and they left a lot of debris in the storm water ditch. Along with the debris that was already there, the ditch is now clogged such that water overflows and floods the trail. This is close to light pole number 83, a short distance south of the driveway that connects the convention center parking lots (i.e., a short distance north of Second Street). It would be a simple matter for two workers with shovels and a truck to clear the debris out of the ditch."

I’ve been using the trails mainly Clear Creek for several years. I’m a bike rider plus walking. The Clear Creek trail seems to be ignored a lot in the last year or so. In the past couple of weeks we have had strong winds, some trees have blown down. The trees were removed in a timely fashion but the small limbs and debris from t/he clean up was left untouched. One area north of That Road and just north of the water fountain gravel and dirt continues to wash out onto the trail but nothing is ever done to resolve the problem. Walking is not as bad as biking but biking can be a real hassle. The trail gets so bad sometimes that I go to Karst Farm even though it’s not as convenient.
It seems a lot is being spent to develop the area south of Grimes and Clear Creek gets ignored. I see maintenance workers driving up and down the trail and they even sit and talk a lot but no one ever gets out of the vehicle to improve the trail when only a few minutes could make a big difference.
Thanks for your time.

The pedestrian bridge over the creek {Early History Trail} RCA Park has a massive blockage of trees limbs etc. Heavy rain creates a massive pool of water the eventually releases down stream, affecting property down stream. Please remove. Thankyou

The bike path along Sare Road south of the intersection with Olcott is rapidly deteriorating due to continuous water flow over the path that washes dirt, branches and rocks onto the path. Something needs to be done to divert this water away from the path. In the winter the water freezes, leaving the path coated with a sheet of ice. Very dangerous for bikes and pedestrians.

After the last heavy rain in Bloomington, I noticed a large tree next to Jackson Creek on The Goat Farm is going to fall. The roots are showing and the tree is leaning over the creek water. It looks very dangerous because sometimes the children come to play in the water and they may get hurt. If no action is taken, the tree will fall down into the water and block the creek water flowing and cause more damage later. Please see the picture attached above.

Hello,
I serve as the volunteer creek & trail monitor for the LC area. (via Sarah Owens & company) I went by the creek on Friday, 11-12-21, at approximately 3:15p.m., noticing a distinct change in the water. Noting the current construction near the Waterfall shelter, I am uncertain if this is related. This photo was taken near the south end of the creek, about 1/3 mile from IMI concrete company. Trying not to presume - is there a permit in place for discharging into the creek? Can water sampling and testing be performed. NOTE: I returned to the same area on Saturday afternoon, 11-13-21, and the water has cleared. No visual evidence of what had been observed on Friday. Thank you.

THANK YOU for keeping the path clear of leaves this fall. It has enhanced our walk each day. We also appreciate the two new "bridges" across the path where water used to stand. Very nice. I'm wondering if the southern most "bridge" will get a railing of some kind. It seems a little precarious for walkers who might lose their balance. Thanks for considering this safety feature.
