Our backyard floods when we have heavy rain - totally normal. However, our setup to the city's storm drain is clearly not running properly. Water at the opening is nearly at a standstill. A city utility worker was out after the last large rainfall a few weeks ago and was at the manhole entrance point near the street. Within 25 minutes of them leaving, our drainage issue was solved and nearly all flooding issues were resolved. Is this runoff drain/storm drain not functioning properly or not always turned on?

Water and debris continuously builds up on the west side of the street. The road slopes to the west side and there are no nearby stormwater drains. The closest drain is 1/2 block north on the opposite side of the street. This picture is directly in front of my house. The pavement at this site erodes due to all the standing water and debris and requires consistent patching. I have lived at this address for 16 years and this has been an ongoing problem. I have concerns this will only get worse as there is a new bus route starting in August which will be using this stretch of the road several times a day. I am told the road is to be resurfaced this summer however, without a proper drain system in place this will not resolve the problem. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I live at 1202 E. Elliston Drive (green house pictured). Elliston Dr, at the northwest corner of our lot, pools with a large volume of storm water after even a little rainfall, and it does not drain we have to wait for it to evaporate. I know it's probably an undertaking but is there any way the city can fix this? Overall the corner is a high elevation but there's a shallow pool there as you can see, and no storm drain. Could a storm line be ran down to another location so it can drain away and stop causing problems with the curb basically eroding away?

Last week I had city utility workers digging holes in my yard looking for what they think might be a water main leak. I think there might be an underground stream. They patched my yard and laid straw, I now have after this weeks storm several large holes in my yard, some large enough to lose a medium size dog in. HELP!!! Large pool of water at 908 S. Larkspur Lane, Bloomington. There is no drainage. (I could not choose location on your map because every time I try to zoom in it zooms all the way out to whole globe view. Also, I couldn't upload photo because you don't allow uploaded from phone gallery. Only option it gave me was upload from Box app and that wouldn't work. Y'alls website sucks)

on the side of the square that has the restaurants king-dough and the owlery, at the alley in the middle of the block, there is a constant little stream of water going out onto where pedestrians are walking on the sidewalk, so there's a leak somewhere. i have noticed this for several months, & with winter soon, it will freeze & be a hazard for slip&falls. thanks

We have an open culvert in our yard that drains rain water from the other side of the street and it seems to be eroding my property. It was suggested to me that I contact the city to see if I can get assistance in fixing this problem.
