Hello! Please relocate the people living in the many growing homeless camps along the B-line next to Switchyard Park. The day before yesterday, my mother was riding her bike early in the morning through Switchyard, and a crazy homeless guy was chasing people on a bike and swinging a baseball bat around. A mid-30s white homeless guy with wavy hair comes around our house about once a week (we live on 2509 S Camden) and gives my 3-year-old daughter and my pregnany wife dirty looks and yells obscenities. We are renting and the owner will not pay for fancy fences or security cameras. We cannot afford to pay for those either, as I am a graduate student. Many of my neighbors are also getting increasingly annoyed with homeless people trespassing and breaking into their cars. Me and my family feel unsafe on our own front porch. Please do something about this problem as it is getting worse. Best, Daniel Cueto daniel@danielcueto.com 812-803-8195

Hello. I'm following up with 175683. Does the City now have plans for how they'll be promoting the LGBTQ+ community for June (and beyond is great too)? Thank you.

If the City can host an event for Juneteenth, which is fantastic, it can host an event for Pride. Trans lives in particular are under attack right now. Let's celebrate the unique queer life Bloomington possesses. Thank you for considering. We can do more. Maybe even just an award for either LGBT activism and/or community contribution from a LGBT resident that can be part of a volunteer awards night or something that I believe Lucy Scaich hosts? Starting small is fine. But Bloomington Pride is not representative of everyone so it would be great for local government to be a player too.

Want to actually promote affordable housing? Utilize the stock we have. Instantly create beds by eliminating artificial 3 person cap on houses that can easily and safely house more. Concerned about issues, solve them. Limit parking permits per house, enforce noise, enforce trash. But we have empty bedrooms that could easily have two people per bedroom in many instances. For no good reason. Go bold. A simple policy change will do more than your construction efforts have the last few years. Let's do this.

Was not informed of military exercise that took place overnight from 07Jun to 08Jun. The noise from the plane/chopper was alarming & was loud enough to rattle windows. It also continued extremely late into the night (~ 2:30 am) which was a significant noise disturbance during quiet hours. City did not provide notice that (1) this was going to occur or (2) the timing of the exercise.

I haven't been to City Hall this month. Is the City flying the Pride flag for June?

I am under the impression that overnight camping is not allowed on public property. Why is the city allowing so many tents all throughout the city being set up overnight? What’s the point of having laws/regulations if we are not going to follow them? What other laws/regulations are we going to turn a blind eye to next?

Stop pursuing opposing goals. You now have a form to more vigorously enforce a stupid policy of artificially limiting occupancy without a clear connection to size, parking, etc. While you also want to increase density? So let's get this right ... You want to build expensive structures (which I don't oppose) when you could create that many beds by simply dropping the archaic anti-modern family rule of capping huge units at three people for no reason? Think this through. We have empty unutilized bedrooms in this town. You're being held hostage by special interests. We need creative and real solutions to affordability. They exist.

Please limit the number of days for fireworks more than currently allowed. Something like 3 seems ample for neighborhoods?

The situation along the B-Line trail around the Grimes bridge is out of control. Tents have been setup along the side of the B-Line just north of the bridge. While riding through this area earlier this morning with my 11 year old, we had an individual come out of one these tents and start yelling at us. This does not feel like a safe situation for anyone.
