Neighbor has three large boxer dogs that are allowed to run loose for "exercise" daily, and usually for a period after dark. Complaintant is 78 and wife is 74, both are handicapped. Dogs are making a mess of their yard, and they can't go out after dark. They've lived there forty years, and feel they deserve better.
Citizen upset with phone service at Animal Shelter - can't get through. Has complaint about 4 cats next door that stay in her yard all the time.
3-4 large dogs in fenced in back yard. Dog waste accumulates and smells so bad that the neighbors can't sit outside. Complainants say they have called animal control several times. HAND has also referred 3 previous complaints to animal control with no response. JIM: Please let me know if this is something we can address (or need to, based on investigating the complaint) through BMC & Animal control or if it has to become a civil matter between the neighbors. Beaver (or muskrat) has built home in storm sewer in easement between First and Wylie. Animal is killing trees. Spoke w/Animal Control, Engineering, DNR, State Fish & Wildlife & police dept., over a week ago. When will animal be trapped and relocated?

Mr. Craig has called Animal Control and the Plan Department. His neighbor Guy Pacale Hardy has at least 4 dogs and 2 cats. The dogs fight each other and bark when people are sleeping. They get out and chase his cats. Mr. Hardy dumps the dog waste in a dry creek bed (and it stinks). He may want to start a kennel. Complainant wants something done about these problems and is willing to sign a complaint.

McDonald called BPD at 3:30 a.m. re barking dog & was told BPD does not respond to this type noise complaint and that he should confront owner of dog. McDonald felt that confronting owner at 3:30 a.m. would possibly create a dangerous situation and in addition, BPD should change policy to respond to this type noise situation same as if it was a loud stereo. (FYI - A.C. officers will contact McDonald re filing affadavit about noise nuisance.)
