A camper has been parked on W Hoosier St on the for over a week, taking up the road the neighborhood uses for extra parking. My neighbors don't know who it belongs to.
We live on the street, and Bloomington recently put up permit parking
1219 s Washington St. This car is parked in the yellow and halfway covering our driveway making it impossible to pull out of our house without risking damage to our cars. Thank you!
I teach classes at the John Waldron Arts Center for Ivy Tech. Each class is approximately 3 hours long since it is a studio art class. My student said there is a 2 hour limit on the parking meters on Walnut street which means she needs to leave during class time to move her car to another meter. This has never been an issue before. Why is it now?
A Ford Country Squire Station wagon appears to have been abandoned on the street in front on my house in the 1200 block of South Washington Street. The car has not been moved since July 24th. It appears to have flat tires and dirt accumulated underneath the vehicle which is not appealing when trying to show this shared property.
Earlier this year I reported a vehicle parking on the pedestrian/cycling path connecting West Countryside Ln. to the Country View Apts. I observed a vehicle again blocking the path this Saturday, 17 November 2018 at approximately 2:30pm (uReport Case #163304). I have seen this particular vehicle parked on the path a number of times since the house was built adjacent to the path. Considering your suggestion from the previous incident, I have attached a photo of the offending vehicle. From the license plate, the operator appears to be connected with law enforcement (license plate LE8928). I find this very disturbing that an individual who should be setting an example for the community is using a pedestrian path for convenience. I would like to point out that I occasionally ride my bicycle on this path and have observed pedestrians on it as well. Also, there is plenty of street parking in this part of the neighborhood in front of the houses, i.e., I don't see lack of available parking as an excuse. Today around 5:15 - 5:20 pm I had an unfortunate altercation with a City of Bloominton employee. He appeared to be 5’8” to 5’10” with short black hair, a blue city shirt and dark shorts. He was stopped at the garage near Scotty’s at Walnut and 7th street and had several garbage cans in the back of a City of Bloomington pick up truck as well as another worker who sitting in the bed of the truck with the trash cans. My wife needing to use the ATM stopped the car in the entrance and got out. This employee told her she couldn’t do this, so she said “ok” and got back into the car. At this point, still needing to use the ATM I hopped out to use the ATM myself while my wife circled the block. The city employee at that point moved toward me aggressively asking me several times if I “wanted a ticket”. My wife did not move the car yet because the employee moved in front of our car so rapidly and aggressively that she thought he was going to punch me. I explained that she was going to circle while I used the ATM, and he glared at me and walked away haughtily. I asked him for his name several times and he ignored me. This is unacceptable behavior from anyone, let alone a city employee. I felt threatened by this individual and do not think he should be working for the city I pay taxes to.
This vehicle has parked here for a while without a permit and has been reported though BHA does nothing. The license plate is expired, located at 1315 W 12th St. Please tow to open parking in front of my house. Thanks so much for your help.
