We're moving to B'ton in July on S. High St. Our moving van will need to block S. High for 4-5 hours on a weekday; do we need a permit to have the truck block a bus route, and what is the cost if yes?
I wonder what can be done about 2102 E. Wimbleton Lane in southeast Bloomington. No one has lived there a several years. Someone does cut the lawn, but the house is aging and in disrepair. In the past months, the gutter over the garage is falling off and the house is becoming a real eye-sore. Can anything be done to locate the owners and have them keep up maintenance on the house? The branches encroaching on the sidewalk have gotten to be too much on High St. just South of Wimbleton. Pedestrian traffic is significant here, especially now that school has started, and it's honestly challenging for adults to get past one another while ducking under the branches. This is a popular place for people to ride their bikes on the sidewalk, taking their kids to school, and an adult biking on the sidewalk going down the hill might be in danger of being decapitated by all the branches.
The street sign at the corner of S. High Street and Wimbleton Lane is broken, with the street names hanging down so that they are very hard to see.

Would it be possible to install a crosswalk button for pedestrians who cross the street on the corner of 3rd and Hawthorne? The light generally does not change to cross 3rd. unless there is a car at the light waiting to cross 3rd on Hawthorne. It ends up with people crossing on a red light and people speed coming over that hill it is dangerous. Thank you, Omar Alani
On February 24 during a wind storm a tree, which stands near the power line between Arden Dr. and Queens Way, dangerously cracked. The workers from Duke Energy, who cut a big portion of the tree, understandably didn’t want it to fall on the power line. They did it in a such way that branches fell to our back yard and even damaged the fence. Duke doesn’t want to remove debris and repair the fence. Despite the tree stand on the land belonging to Duke (or town?) and the damage was not the act of nature, they claim that it is not their responsibility. Trying to figure out who and when will my driveway and curb be repaired? Some weeks back the main water line busted and to fix it the utility company had to cut out part of my driveway, curb and street. When can I expect some solution?
