I do not know if this is a problem, but Longfei restaurant is dumping various kinds of restaurant waste and wastewater into the storm drain in the alley between Longfei and Trinity church. The drain is clearly labeled "no waste", but they are indifferent to this.
There is a continuous large puddle that exists on City property (east side of Lincoln just north of 12th Street). This area needs to be filled/regraded ASAP.
Project to fix a problem for someone else created a problem for us - water draining poorly creating a muddy mess.
As a home owner on old 37 N whose property’s easement is being used for the new line, I have some questions. The work has torn up an existing asphalt sidewalk that runs from marlin to the first house on Old 37 N along with a retaining wall in front of my house, my property sits down form the road. Third year in a row (2/8/2018 # 163027, 2/8/2019 #167355), when the fatberg grows just downstream from me, the city delivers hundreds of gallons of sewage into my basement. This year was a new high water: 6-7 inches. It is sewer, not my house backing up... It is because of a flaw in the connections just downstream from me. The city has closed the previous reports as "Resolved" without my consent. This is obviously not resolved. I'd much rather have Bloomington spend money on fixing this, rather than attorney fees, but without quick resolution, this year, I will proceed.
Are folks allowed to drain straight into the street? House at Park Ridge and Morningside has two to three new drain outlets straight into street and city sewer. Morningside side.
the water came up to my foundation again.. Last year I was awarded a grant from the city and as you can see that has not worked. I am inches from the water from cascades flooding my basement. Im sorry for second emailing but I did not realize how th system worked. thank you.
There was construction going on for a few months on the entrance into the plaza but has since stopped abruptly. The crew has not been back to finish off the street and all sides of the streets are completely torn apart and damaged. This is unacceptable and can significantly damage one’s vehicle! When is this going to get finished?
Hello - I am the homeowner at 102 South Waldron St. here in Bloomington. This past Friday my basement flooded an excessive amount (3 feet) due to water buildup on Waldron Street. This has happened 4 times over the past 6 years I have lived here because the water has nowhere to go due to the flat area at the bottom of Waldron Street. I am requesting a storm drain be installed on Waldron Street just North of my house and in front of 100 South Waldron Street. My neighbors basement has also been severely flooded over the years due to water buildup from the street - the homeowners name is Simon Ladd. We both have sub pumps in our basements (I actually have 2) and it still doesn’t solve the flooding issue. I have spoken to Mr. Ladd and we both agree the best solution is for the city to install a storm drain. My number is 812-369-0765.
