Prosecutor and Mayors view on taxes that were in paper the week ending July 19th. I was out of town all week and read the newspaper and for the first time in my 72 years living here was embarrassed to say this was my hometown and am ready to move out of this town.
out walking tonight (7/10) I saw that there was a very large backyard graduation party taking place at 2207 E Covenanter in Bloomington, at a conservative estimate 50-60 people ranging from teenagers to senior citizens and not a single mask that I could see...playing tennis and generally socializing in a way that didn't seem particularly cautious just thought you should know, because if there's an outbreak in town those are folks you're going to want to talk to
I have been ill with non covid-19 pneumonia and sinus infection for several weeks. I could not have gotten through this period of time if not for the amazing team at Walmart and delivery partners. I know it’s not over but I am feeling so grateful this morning. I am high risk given I’ve been so sick, I’m over weight and I have asthma. They very likely have saved my life. First responders are recognized and given honors by cities all the time so I’m suggesting that someone reach out to or Walmart and all of our local grocery stores at some point so we can bestow some sort of award or honor to these men and women. I’m sure your offices are spread thin right now but at some point I’m the near future I hope this idea will be visited. I would be happy to donate my time any way I can be of use. I am excellent on the phone as I managed a local call center for several years. These workers are not paid well. I believe they need and deserve a huge boost in morale. Local businesses might be willing to give back to them in some way via a discount or free meal etc. Ago at least be acknowledged for the great worth of their hard work and diligence is so very important! I understand that we are following a stay at home order. Yet when I went for a run today I saw guys working on construction at the City's Switchyard park and many other sites across the city, trees are being trimmed on many roads in the city, and near the Kroger on South Walnut the tire store was open, the verizon store was open, of course the Kroger was open, and the daycare center up the street had a bunch of cars and kids playing in their playground. What's going on? It is disconcerting to say the least. thank you.

John Hamilton is not performing well. Here are some failures: 1) high speed internet 2) clueless about military vehicle acquisition 3) UDO and more generally his `3-ring binder' nonsense 4) mismanagement of farmer's market strife I have never voted for a Republican in 38 year but I'm writing to the GOP to see if they can put forward a moderate.
The public works department of this city is a disgrace. We were promised Grimes/Walnut would not be closed until the Country Club lane between Walnut and Rodgers was fixed. We were lied to. It's impossible to leave our homes and get anywhere in the city AS IT IS NOW. And yet, you are about to close more intersections on this side of town. It's pathetic. 1/4th of your town is stuck in traffic for 30 to 50 minutes longer ONE WAY. We literally had a discussion tonight about how we were going to get groceries and get to and from work anymore. It's almost unlivable here and it's going to get worse if you don't cancel this moronic construction projects until THE ONES ALREADY IN PROGRESS are complete. Take the money loss from your horrid planning, own up to your complete and utter failures, and WAIT until things are done before starting more disastrous work.
Huge dead tree dropping major branches on street and cars at 801 S Peach Tree. Owner says city responsible. Called Street Dept 3 weeks ago--they said call Lee Huss. Left message, no response. Problem is worse and tired of clearing street to drive on it!! Please respond-----
