Internet Access
Gigabit Now Indiana
The City of Bloomington, mStreet Fiber and GigabitNow have partnered to provide low-cost high-speed fiber internet service. Households who qualify can obtain a high speed 250 Mbps plan at $9.99 a month.
Lifeline
Lifeline is a federal program that helps lower the monthly cost of phone or internet service.
Xfinity Internet Essentials
Xfinity offers low cost internet to housholds who qualify. Customers who qualify can obtain 75 Mbps at $14.95 a month.
AT&Tfiber
AT&T offers wifi to residents at $55 a month for $300 Mbps
Verizon Home Internet
Verizon offers Fios Home Internet, 5G Home Internet or LTE Home Internet, you may see if service is offered in your area.
Devices
Monroe County Public Library
Need access to an iPad, hotspot, or video production kit? The Library's items are available for checkout two weeks at a time!
PCs for People
PCs for People provides refurbished computers to eligible customers for affordable prices. They also provide low-cost high-speed internet solutions.
TechSoup
TechSoup offers nonprofits a wide range of new and refurbished hardware products, from computers and monitors to networking equipment and mobile devices.
City of Bloomington Computer Surplus
Local nonprofits are encouraged to apply to receive donated computer equipment. The City of Bloomington replaces one-fifth to one-fourth of computer equipment each year to keep up with new technology. This equipment is donated to 501C3 Non-For-Profit organizations.
BinaryHeart
BinaryHeart at Indiana University Bloomington is a student-run nonprofit that provides tech support and refurbished computers to students, families, and other nonprofits in the Bloomington area. If you are in need of a computer or IT assistance, please fill out a request.
Tech Help & Digital Literacy Opportunities
Area 10 on Aging
Are you 55 or older and need help with technology? Area 10 on Aging offers one-on-one tech assistance at two convenient locations: College Mall and Ellettsville. Friendly volunteers are available to support you at your own pace. Digital Learn offers free, quick, technology lessons for computer use.
Free Digital Networks Classes
The Overlook offers free monthly classes focusing on digital networks. Whether you want to set parental controls on your router, start a mesh net with your neighbors, or if you're just curious about what's happening behind the screens, these classes empower community members to get more from their digital context. We also offer technical support for anyone having trouble with their network devices

Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington
Youth between the ages of 6-18 who become members of the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington will participate in an age-appropriate digital safety curriculum that teaches them how to use the internet safely, communicate responsibly online, recognize scams, and protect their devices.
