Overhill (3rd to 5th) Sidewalk

Project Details:

The 2023 City Council Sidewalk Committee has prioritized new sidewalk installation on Overhill Drive from 3rd Street to 5th Street in order to improve safety and accessibility for people walking in the area. Design for this project will occur in 2023, and construction would occur in a future year pending funding prioritization. Design for the sidewalk will begin with topographic survey and identification of constraints such as existing trees, utilities, and property lines. This information will be used to determine whether the sidewalk will be built on the east or west side of the street. It is initially expected that the new sidewalk would be located within existing City right of way. In some locations, construction may require removal or replacement of existing vegetation. Residents will be contacted individually to coordinate construction activities that could impact private property or access to a driveway.
