Bloomington, IN - During the month of May, BEAD will showcase spring-inspired artworks created by Bloomington area clients of StoneBelt Arc in the Atrium of City Hall.

Stone Belt was founded in 1969 as a Bloomington nonprofit organization that provides education and support to persons with disabilities. Over the organization's history the services offered by the organization have expanded to include residential programs, employment resources, life skills and vocational training, a professional art studio and clinical services, all of which enable individuals to live self-determined lives of significance and meaning. Currently, Stone Belt provides these services to over 1,300 individuals with disabilities throughout south central Indiana.

The exhibit will run May 3 - 31 in the Atrium of City Hall at 401 North Morton Street. The exhibition hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm on Monday through Friday, as well as additional evening and weekend hours when City Hall is open.

An opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Thursday, May 5 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Atrium at City Hall. Exhibit artists will be on hand to meet visitors and discuss their work.

The City of Bloomington is committed to providing opportunities for Bloomington and area artists to exhibit artwork in the City Hall Atrium.
