Jeigh Hockersmith is City Parks and Recreation's New Sports/Facility Coordinator

Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department announced today that Jeigh Hockersmith has joined the City team as Sports/Facility Coordinator.

"We are pleased to welcome Jeigh to Bloomington," said Tim Fulton, Sports Facility Supervisor. "Jeigh brings a great deal of experience in youth sports management and coaching to the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department. Her customer service and management skills are ideally suited to serving our youth sports enthusiasts."

Hockersmith comes from the Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County in Crawfordsville, Ind. She was heavily involved with the youth sports program at that facility, and has coached various youth basketball teams over the past 10 years. Hockersmith played collegiate basketball at Anderson University, and graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in Health and Fitness.

"I'm thrilled to be in Bloomington," Hockersmith said. "I am very excited to be part of such an amazing team at the Parks and Recreation Department. I feel extremely blessed to be part of such a great community."

Hockersmith added that one of her short-term goals is to work diligently with the [girls' softball program|4897]to maintain the high level of service the softball community has come to expect.
