City of Bloomington Council for Community Accessibility Invites Public to Annual Awards Ceremony

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The City of Bloomington Council for Community Accessibility (CCA) will host an awards ceremony from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 29 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 100 N. State Road 46.

The ceremony, which is open to the public, recognizes individuals and groups in Bloomington who make our community a better place for people with disabilities. Mayor Mark Kruzan will present the Mayor's Award, and additional awards will be presented by the Council to individuals and businesses who have shown a strong dedication to the mission of the CCA.

The program will include light desserts, live music, a keynote address and an awards presentation.

President and CEO of Bosma Enterprises Lou Moneymaker will present the keynote address. Moneymaker and Bosma Enterprises are attempting to greatly reduce the 74 percent unemployment rate among Hoosiers who are blind or visually impaired.
