Strong Towns' Charles Marohn to Speak in Bloomington August 3

Bloomington, Ind. -  Nationally recognized speaker Charles Marohn, president of Strong Towns, a national nonprofit working to strengthen financial resilience in America’s towns and cities, will present to the public on Thursday, August 3.

At 7:00 p.m., Marohn will give a lecture titled “It Starts Here,” at the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater, 114 E. Kirkwood Ave. A book sale and signing will be available before the lecture starting at 6:00 p.m. This presentation will showcase Strong Towns’ innovative approach to community growth, which focuses on growing stronger communities by making small, incremental investments over time, both at the government and resident level. Attendees will have an opportunity to interact with Mr. Marohn during an open floor discussion. Public officials and local change-advocates are especially invited to attend.
