City of Bloomington Utilities Announces Fire Hydrant Maintenance for Week of September 10

Bloomington, Ind. – The City of Bloomington Utilities will perform fire hydrant maintenance within the boundaries listed below during the week of September 10. This fire hydrant maintenance schedule is subject to change if each day's work is not completed as scheduled or due to inclement weather. 

North – West Tapp Road

East –  South State Road 37

South – West Fullerton Pike

West – Heatherwood Neighborhood

Crews will flow and perform necessary maintenance on fire hydrants in the aforementioned areas. Signage will be displayed in the affected areas on the day the fire hydrant maintenance takes place, and maintenance crews will carry proper identification.

Customers may experience fluctuations in pressure and/or discoloration of their water during hydrant maintenance. Any customer experiencing discolored water is advised to run their cold water tap until it clears. During periods of discoloration, any customer experiencing discolored water is advised to postpone washing clothes and limit their use of hot water until the cold water clears.
