Bloomington Fire and Police Chiefs Present Annual Public Safety Report

Bloomington, Ind. - Mayor John Hamilton invites members of the community to attend the third annual joint Public Safety Report Wednesday, February 13 at 10 a.m. in the main meeting room of the Bloomington Police Department (BPD) headquarters, 220 East Third Street.   

The event will feature presentations by Police Chief Mike Diekhoff and Fire Chief Jason Moore about the state of public safety in the community and the continual efforts of their respective departments to increase it.

“There is no greater priority in our City than the safety of the people who live, work, and visit here,” said Mayor John Hamilton. “We are eager to share this performance report with the community we are dedicated to protecting.”

Mayor Hamilton introduced the annual Public Safety Report to the community in 2017 as part of a City-wide effort to establish greater transparency and accountability in government functions and services.  For those unable to attend the presentation in person, the annual Public Safety Report will be streamed live on Facebook at both the Bloomington Police Department page and that of the Office of the Mayor.
