WHAT: The City of Bloomington and the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) invite the public to an information-sharing event for the Trades District Technology Center, which is funded in part by a $3.5 million Economic Development Administration CARES Act Recovery Assistance Grant awarded in 2021.

The Tech Center will be located in Bloomington’s downtown Trades District and will work to:

  3. Connect growing tech companies to national and international networks

The Trades District Technology Center will serve tech companies that are beyond the startup phase by providing commercialization and other wraparound growth services and space. The Tech Center is currently in its design phase and received site plan approval from the Plan Commission during its March 14, 2022 meeting.

WHO: City staff, the BEDC, and Axis Architecture will present current designs and solicit feedback from the public.

WHEN: Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 1–2:30 p.m.
