Residents Invited to Rally in Support of the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander Community
Bloomington, Ind. – In response to the racially motivated violent attack of an Asian student (https://bton.in/qwSX9) that took place on a Bloomington Transit bus Wednesday, January 11, 2023, the City of Bloomington, Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA), Indiana University, and the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum (NAPAWF) invite the community to a rally on February 4 in support of the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander community.
The rally will include local leaders, Indiana University students, and officials coming together to stand against hate, bigotry, and discrimination and promote unity. The event is Saturday, February 4th, at Dunn Meadow (N Indiana Ave between 7th St and the Sample Gates) on the Indiana University campus from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public; face masks are optional.
