Fitness in the Park: ZUMBA

Drool in the Pool

Date: Wednesday, August 2 and Thursday, August 3

Time: 5-8 p.m.

Cost: Admission $5/dog
Location: Mills Pool, 1100 W. 14th St.

Calling all pups to a pool paw-ty! Play with dog toys, compete in fun contests, and go swimming in Mills Pool, which is closed to humans but open for canine swimming. Pet-related businesses and organizations are on hand to share information with dog owners and friends. Well-behaved and socialized dogs that are spayed or neutered and at least six months of age are welcome. We reserve the right to dismiss any dog for unruly activity and/or aggressive behavior. Owners must provide written proof from a veterinarian showing their dog's current rabies vaccination to attend. A rabies tag alone is not sufficient.

Find a wide assortment of goods locally grown in farm and field, including fruits and vegetables, eggs, meats and cheeses, honey, seasonal flowers and annual and perennial plants. Food and beverage artisans provide a tasteful variety of satisfying breads, drinks, pastries and savory dishes.

Youth Artists' and Growers' Day at the Market

Save the Date: Black y Brown Arts Festival 2023

Date: Saturday, September 9

The annual Black y Brown Arts Festival is a family-friendly event showcasing the work of African, African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, and Native American Artists. The event will include a visual arts exhibition in the pavilion and a performance showcase on multiple stages, with food trucks offering items for purchase. Participating artists will also sell their artworks or associated merchandise at the venue. More Information is forthcoming. The festival is supported by the City of Bloomington’s Commission on Hispanic and Latino Affairs and the Safe and Civil City Program (both a part of the Community and Family Resources department), along with the Bloomington Arts Commission and City Departments of Economic and Sustainable Development and Parks and Recreation.

Twin Lakes Recreation Center is a sports, fitness and recreation facility with a ⅛ mile indoor track, cardio equipment, free weights and weight machines, functional fitness area and five hardwood courts.
