Commission on the Status of Women Announces Call-Out to Participate in Women’s Market
The City of Bloomington’s Commission on the Status of Women will host the 2024 Women’s Market at City Hall on July 27 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The market will showcase women-owned businesses, female artisans, and women’s health organizations, with vendor booths positioned throughout City Hall. Local businesses, non-profits, and artists are invited to register online for a vendor booth space at https://bton.in/WMK24. Booth registration is free, but space is limited. Registration deadline is Monday, July 8 at 5 p.m.
The Bloomington Commission on the Status of Women was established in 1973, by a committee of local women leaders interested in closing the gender pay gap in Bloomington. These women wanted a commission to be chartered to investigate what barriers, at a local level, stood in the way of attaining gender pay equity, and what opportunities existed to advance towards this goal.
