BEAD to Exhibit the Photography of Craig Barton

BEAD to Exhibit the Photography of Craig Barton

BLOOMINGTON, IN-During the month of April, visitors to the Atrium of City Hall will be able to view the work of Bloomington photographer, Craig Barton in the exhibit entitled "Forest to Feathers-A Taste for Details".

Barton is currently on sabbatical from Gallery North on the Square, where he has been a member for over three years. He is active in the Bloomington Photography Club where he is a mentor several special interest groups. His current emphasis is in building highly detailed images from multiple overlapping frames, frequently incorporating high dynamic range. "Forest to Feathers" features images of outstanding clarity and evokes a sense of being physically present within the moment depicted in each photograph.

In addition to the photography exhibit, BEAD will host an artist talk and slide presentation in the Council Chambers at City Hall on Monday, April 18 at 6:30pm. The exhibit and slide presentation are all free and open to the public.

The exhibit will run April 1 to April 31 in the Atrium of City Hall at 401 North Morton Street. The exhibition hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm on Monday through Friday, as well as additional evening and weekend hours when City Hall is open for meetings.

The City of Bloomington is committed to providing opportunities for Bloomington and area artists to exhibit artwork in the City Hall Atrium. For more information on the exhibition program, contact Miah Michaelsen, Assistant Economic Development Director for the Arts, at michaelm@bloomington.in.gov or (812) 349-3534.
