Bloomington, IN - BEAD will showcase paintings by members of the Bloomington Watercolor Society in a collaborative exhibit featuring over 30 local artists.

Works will range from portraiture to landscapes to abstracts and will be on exhibit for the month of November in the City Hall Atrium, which is located in the main entrance of the Showers Building at 401 North Morton Street.

The mission of the Bloomington Watercolor Society is to promote and advance the artistic careers of its members through promotion, encouragement and relationship building. It provides local painters with opportunities for growth and networking through weekly meetings, workshops, paint outs, exhibitions, juried shows, and information on regional festivals, artistic competitions and events. General and membership information for BWS is available at www.bloomingtonwatercolor.org.

An opening reception for the exhibit will be Friday, November 6th from 5 - 7 p.m. during downtown's First Friday event. Light refreshments will be provided. The exhibition will be open from November 6th through the 29th, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The City of Bloomington is committed to providing opportunities for Bloomington and area artists to exhibit artwork in the City Hall Atrium.
