Parks and Recreation Department Presents Bravo Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service

Bloomington, Ind.﹘The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department recognized volunteer Oliver Fyffe July 25 with the Bravo Award  for outstanding volunteer service to the Department.

Oliver volunteered at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center through the Work Study program at Bloomington High School South. He is involved in Special Olympics and sports, which prompted his interest in volunteer work at the TLRC.

According to facility coordinator Daren Eads, Oliver was enthusiastic about his volunteer work from the first day he came into the building. “Oliver is a great young man with an awesome jump shot!” Eads said.

Work Study teacher Karen Spriggs said, “Oliver is a hardworking, responsible young man. He quietly leads by example in all that he does.”

Bloomington Parks and Recreation and the Twin Lakes Recreation Center appreciate Oliver’s commitment, and are pleased to recognize him with the July 2017 Bravo Award.
