PROJECT DETAILS:

Work includes but is not limited to, the relocation of water main. This project is a result of a road reconstruction project. As a result of the road reconstruction, relocation of existing water utilities are required. The relocations shall include approximately 611 lineal feet of 12-inch water main and 10 lineal feet of 6-in water main as well as reinstating all existing services, and all other related work and appurtenances necessary to complete the work shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications.

MEETINGS & BIDDING DEADLINES:

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:

An in-person pre-bid conference will be held prior to the Bid opening on 1/10/2024 at 1:00 PM local time to familiarize Bidders with this Project. The pre-bid conference will be held at the City of Bloomington Utilities Department at 600 E. Miller Dr. Bloomington, Indiana 47401

 

BIDDING CLOSE DATE:

Sealed bids shall be received by the Utilities Department, at 600 E. Miller Drive, Bloomington, Indiana, 47401, at or before 4:00 PM local time on 1/31/2024. Any bids received after the designated time will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Utilities Service Board during a special Utilities Service Board Meeting which begins at 4:00 PM local time on 1/31/2024. The meeting will be held at the service center board room located at 600 E. Miller Drive.

 

BID AWARDS:

Award of the bid may be made at the following regular Utilities Service Board meeting on 2/12/2024 or a subsequent meeting of the Board.

 

MANDATORY PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING:

Meeting will be held with the Contractor prior to the start of construction.
