Drop-in Group Fitness Classes at Switchyard Park

Bloomington Parks and Recreation is pleased to host drop-in group exercise and fitness classes outdoors on the main stage at Switchyard Park. 

No pre-registration required!

$10 per person, per class. Buy a 10-class pass for $90, good for all classes May 6 through June 21! Pay onsite with cash or card.

 

  • Tai Chi: Mondays at 7-8 p.m. - May 6-June 17 (no class Memorial Day, May 27)

Tai Chi is a moving meditation in the form of a series of gentle exercises to create harmony and cultivate our inner life energy (qi) to flow smoothly and powerfully through the body.

 

  • ZUMBA: Tuesdays at 7-8 p.m. - May 7-June 18

ZUMBA is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness party that's moving millions of people toward joy and health!

 

  • Yoga: Fridays at Noon-1 p.m. - May 10-June 21

This Hatha-style class is designed to introduce fundamental yoga postures that build strength, balance and flexibility. This style of yoga also emphasizes mindful breath control and body alignment. There is no fee for this class for Twin Lakes Recreation Center members
