Description:
Assists with the supervision and coordination of the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market, works to ensure the safety of the vendors and customers, assists with set-up and tear down of Market, the set up for scheduled performers and chef demonstrations, coordinates building supervision, assists with issuing and redeeming vouchers for food stamp initiative and gift certificate program, assists with set-up of Parks and Recreation information table, assists with distribution of City program information and Market related products and other duties as assigned.

Education:
High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Some college preferred.

Experience:
Preferred: Experience in event coordination, gardening/farming and/or local foods.

Personal Attributes:
Genuine enthusiasm for the Farmers’ Market, ability to exercise good judgment, excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. A considerable amount of physical effort may be required to accomplish job duties in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements:
Current Adult, Child and Infant CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain.

Hours:
Saturdays, April – September 6:30 am – 2 pm and October and November 7:30 am − 2 pm. Based on interest of applicant, may be able to limit Saturdays to 2 or 3 per month.

Salary:
$8.20 per hour
