Parks & Rec Buildings:

Other: Bryan Park Pool (and possibly Mills Pool) really needs an accessible family changing room. My 21-year old son with developmental disabilities needs help to change in or out of his bathing suit at the pool. My only options is to check that the women's room is clear and help him change there. The only available spot with any privacy is the shower stall with a curtain. (Which fortunately has grab bars!) Please consider how to make the pool changing area more accessible for families with adult children who require assistance. Thank you.

Thanks for the report - this is helpful information. We are looking into our long-term plan for pool facilities and this is certainly an issue we have in mind. While we work on those plans we recognize that it will probably be a bit before corresponding changes come to fruition -- so if you have ideas on specific improvements that would be helpful in the meantime please let us know. You can reach out to me, or talk with Satoshi Kido (sports director) or Chris Hamric (pool and ice arena).
