Last year, the section of the sidewalk at Washington and Cottage Grove was replaced, but the workers left a trench in the road that collects water and breeds mosquitos. I couldn't help but notice when similar work was done this summer on 10th street and a layer of pavement was laid alongside the sidewalk to fill the trench there. Probably just an oversight but it'd be nice to get this job completed.
Can you please look at the drainage on High Street in this area? The street is always covered in water with medium to heavy rains. It doesn't appear that there are enough drains on this area of the street. This has been a problem for years.
Good morning Is this road ever going to be repaired? Someone made a big deal about this a while back, and we were told it is the city's responsibility and would be repaired after graduation. It is almost July and the situation keeps getting worse. As seen in the attached picture, the water is always there. It is constantly leaking from the sewer. The road in question is East 11th and Fee Ln.
There is a large pothole/swamp forming in front of 104 N Roosevelt Street. Despite the fact that it hasn't rained in several days there is a large quantity of stagnant stinky water forming here that presents a hazard to drivers and pedestrians.
There is a giant hole in the alley way behind 809 S. Fess around where work was done on a manhole some time ago. The hole has gotten huge and when it rains it fills with water. Many cars use this alley to get to parking behind their houses. When filled with water, the hole can nearly swallow a small car. It continues to get larger as time is passing and is dangerous.
On Walnut Street northbound in front of the pet store near BHSS, there is a water/utility cover that is open or raised up in the street. I saw it yesterday, but hit it in the dark this morning.
At the intersecetion of Sweetbriar Dr. and Sweetbriar Circle in Winslow Farm Addition,(across from BHS South baseball field) the metal water cover has popped up. I looks like it is cracked/broken and someone needs to check on it as it could damage cars, tires or someone might step into the hole.
Can you tell me when 8th Street west of Adams will be patched or repaved? CBU finished replacing a water line weeks ago and coming and going is a jarring experience, especially treacherous by bicycle.
Large areas of potholes, some very deep, on Highland Avenue. The worst area is just north of Winslow Road, where the Winslow Trail merges with the sidewalk on Highland. Often filled with water so it is difficult to tell how deep they are when driving. Also, large areas of potholes are present on both sides of Rogers Road, toward the top of the hill at the entrance to The Stands neighborhood (up the east hill from the Winslow/High/Rogers Roundabout). East Morningside Drive where it intersects E. 3rd street, a pothole can be found in the concrete gutter as bicyclists turn onto Morningside. Additional potholes occur all along Morningside. Storm water erosion has damaged pavement at the bottom of speed bumps, and at the end of the driveway at 101 E. Glenwood Ave. Additional holes across from Yorktown Apartments (near speed bumps).
