Caller stated there were skunks and rats living in area due to tall grass. Separate UReport entered to HAND for excessive growth.
Multiple (20+) cats being fed behind property. Attraction seems to be concentrated in neighborhood.
The woman at this address has a dog that has been running loose and leaving excrement on the neighbors' properties. Several complaints have been filed since the first incident on Thanksgiving, but the woman still refuses to put her dog on a leash. Woodlands Winding Brook has a By Law that requires dogs to be on leashes. According to the constituent who reported this, several other incidents related to this dog and dog-owner have already occurred. I would suggest getting into contact with them for the entire story. Constituent would like to be notified when this matter has been resolved, and would like it to be resolved as soon as possible.
Ms. Cunningham called with a concern about a raccoon in the Gentry Quarters dumpster and how she had been treated by Animal Control. She called the landlord, Health Dept, and Animal Control and was given the runaround at all 3 about the raccoon. She claims to have been told by Animal Control that "we're closed today and don't have anyone to help you." She's expressed concerns that the landlord leaves the JB's Disposal dumpster lid open, inviting in the raccoon, and HAND hasn't been helpful with the tenant-landlord complaint. She was quite frustrated -- not only to not get answers to her questions, or help with the raccoon, but to feel like she'd been brushed off and given the run around by so many departments. As soon as I hung up with Ms. Cunningham, I took a second call from another Gentry Quarters resident with concerns about the raccoon. Is Animal Control available to assist with the raccoon? Thanks for your help.
Complaint of dead deer carcass on the east side of Sare Rd. across from McCartney Lane.
Larry Williams called into Elizabeth Walter at the Mayor's office to complain about the property at 612 N. Monroe being over run with cats (around 10) and trash. He owns four neighboring properties: 623, 631, 635, 639 N. Monroe. He filed a uReport about this himself over a month ago and said there hasn't been any progress on the matter. I filed this for Animal Control but HAND and Public Works may be interested as well since there is an abundance of trash as well.
Dozens of cats running loose, creating nuisance
There is a dead possum at the corner of 7th and Morton, on the farther side away from College.
Called to report a rat infestation in Kensington/Hyde Park. She has 22 rat holes in her yard alone. Someone from MoCo Public Health came out recently, after Ms. Nephew called that department, and found rat holes on 8 properties across 3 streets, minimally. I suggestd that Ms. Nephew contact both Animal Control and HAND because there's an ongoing issue with her neighbor leaving out birdfeed, debris and composting materials that are likely feeding the rats.
