Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

Follow up on 211586 and 211587
Trying again because I got a reply that this was closed, but no reply. So here goes. It is on Henderson north of First, a new duplex.
"What is this blocking the sidewalk that used to continue in a normal straight line? Was it the idea of the new duplex builder? And the City approved it?"
Thank you for your time.

Potholes, Other Street Repair
400 W 7th ST
- Case Date:
- 6/11/2026
Under uReport Case #211361 I reported a large pothole located between the Johnson's Creamery building and the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church that needed to be repaired for parking. I received a response that this has been repaired as of 1:50 PM today. I then took photos of the pothole that has NOT been repaired at about 2:30 PM. I cannot respond to the message, so I am making a new report. The prior report was assigned to Cheyenne Bowlen. Thanks!
Drainage or Runoff
1309 S Lincoln ST
- Case Date:
- 6/11/2026
There is a lot of gravel and sand on the edge of the street which doesn't help when the drain gets clogged (which it does every time it rains). I adopted this drain and keep it clear but think the street department should come and remove all the gravel etc. Thanks

do better bloomington
this resident has stuff stacked everywhere
front yard/back yard/sides of house/porch/curb/street
the stuff is even spilling out into the public parking area
the vehicles do not move unless he pushes the vehicles
there is a sitting area with a refrigerator in the public parking area
there is a board holding up a tree limb which endangers pedestrians on the sidewalk
the police should ticket the vehicles
the campaign sign has to be illegal (my boss cant get his business sign approved so how is this sign legal)
the campaign sign has lights on it at night operated by a extension cord
the curb area need to be cleaned up so the public can park and access the sidewalk
why does bloomington allow this
are the police aware
is the mayor aware
does the zoning organization know
who should be contacted to get this place cleaned up
who should be contacted so the public parking lane can be used as intended
bloomington needs to do something besides build apartments

Ferguson Dog Park
Large Dog Area chain link fence has been compromised.
If you begin walking East along the fence behind the picnic tables you will see an section of the bottom of the fencing that has been damaged, probably by a riding mower. The horizontal cable at the bottom has become loose and dogs will soon be able to escape if it is not repaired.
City Construction Projects
111 E 6th ST
- Case Date:
- 6/11/2026
There is construction happening in the alleyway of 111 E 6th St, which is behind the Btown Smoke Time (corner of walnut and sixth). My apartment is in this alleyway, and there is no other access besides the alley door. The construction is currently blocking me from entering my apartment, and is blocking my roommate from leaving the apartment, because they have torn the alley out and blocked any alley entrance with heavy machinery. While I’m sure this was a necessary project, this is something that needs to be informed to residents if they are going to be blocking them inside/outside of their homes.
