Large semi trucks turn off
Rogers onto W. 4th. When they get to the cemetery, they can't turn right onto Elm nor go into the cemetery to turn around. There is a sign at the entrance to the cemetery that says no large trucks. It would be helpful if there we a sign at Rogers and 4th. My tree branches are often knocked off and I fear that my car or someone else's will get hit as these large trucks back down the street to where they can turn.
Thank you. Gracia Valliant

The traffic lights on 3rd street between college and grant seem to be off where they are not properly coordinating together. Every morning between 6:30-7:00 I have had difficulty because I will be at a red light with all lights ahead green. Then I get to the next red light and all lights ahead are green. So basically I have to stop and wait at each red light to get down 3rd street. This was not a problem before, mostly just in the past 1-2 weeks.

There are no speed limit signs on the part of Jordan ave that goes through campus (i contacted IUPD about this and they told me because it was a city street to contact the city). IUPD also told me the speed limit on that part of Jordan is currently 30mph; with the new work done last year, there are now five pedestrian crosswalks not at intersections on this section of the road, so that speed is probably too high, particularly with the hill and curve in the road near the Musical Arts Center.

It seems that the timing of the traffic lights on College through downtown needs to be re-set or something. I drive that route 4 mornings a week at about 5:45 am and typically I will stop at a light at either 10th or 11th and from then on it's smooth sailing. Starting last week, the timing was off, and since then I've had to stop at as many as 5 intersections between 11th and 1st Streets. Just wanted to let you know! :) Thanks!

The intersection at Park Ave and Hunter Ave is a 2-way stop. There are multiple accidents there every year because: 1. The cars parked along the side of the road block views for those crossing Hunter 2. There is a large bush on the southwest corner that completely blocks the view west.
Making this a 4-way stop would be much safer and easier to navigate.

any chance of getting the signals resynchronized on College ave?
Thanks

Hello,
I live in an apartment complex on 8th and Grant street on the 3rd floor, and my window overlooks a particular intersection on the corner of E. 9th street and Grant St. My desk is right in front of the window, and I often see near collisions at this intersection, sometimes multiple times a day and hear them when people honk. I have seen two actual car crashes at this intersection in the past month, including one today (the first one was on 9/3/16 ). 9th street is a one way, and there is no stop sign, so people will often speed through it and traffic on Grant cannot stop in time or they do not see the other vehicle due to vehicles parked on 9th street. I truly believe that there needs to be a stop sign installed on 9th street at this intersection to get people to be more careful.
I hope to hear back from someone regarding this issue, if possible.
Thank you.

The lights on 4th St and college/walnut are very out of sync. Once I can go west through walnut towards college, the light is already changing. I feel like this whole area had just recently become like this. 3rd Street is really bad to, going east.

Traveling northbound on Lincoln Street approaching 10th street: The right hand stop sign is not visible until the motorist is very close to the stop. Also, as you look towards 10th Street, it is difficult to tell it is a busy thoroughfare. There have been several accidents with drivers, perhaps unfamiliar with the intersection, blowing through the stop and hitting vehicles traveling on 10th Street. I didn't realize I could post a photo - I may try to get one as it would be helpful.

Why are so many traffic lights now running 24 hour cycles instead of the yellow flashing late at night? Particularly troublesome lights are on South Walnut by the Herald Times, Henderson and Hillside, Lincoln and 3rd, Washington and 3rd. This switch was made about three weeks ago and is becoming quite annoying.
