The retention pond in Coppertree community on south Coppertree has been at normal level only twice in 2026. The last time was July 27. (Photo included which shows the elevated level line) Subsequently the community got significant rainfall on Saturday August returning the high level.
A crosswalk is needed for safety reasons
Immobile vehicles left on street 24/7. They are never moved, and the city code requires cars be moved every 72 hours.
Trash Disposal Truck did not pick up trash bin Tuesday (8/4). Bin was outside on curb at 8 pm the night before (8/3). Airbnb across street may have blocked it.
Is there a place to request NO new street lights? Or to oppose requests for new and "improved" lighting? There is plenty of evidence that night lighting is harmful, to humans and to animals. There is also evidence that lighting does not reduce crimes. I don't live in a "bright" area of the city, and yet light is all around me at night, including creeping into my house and bedroom even though I have room darkening drapes. I want nighttime and stars back. I can't be the only one, and yet it seems that procedures are set up to favor increased lighting and profits for Duke.
Resident comment at Farmers Market OOTM table-- will curbs along divided bike lane that begins at the corner of 3rd and Clarizz (By Bfoods E) be painted orange for greater visibility? Noted many cars actually enter the bike lane because they don't see the curbs.
Again. The City's HVAC unit on the north side of the Showers Building along 10th Street is incessantly screeching again. I documented the noise at 79 decibels earlier this morning. For weeks prior to the constant noise there was intermittent loud screech that sounded like a car accident when the unit would start up. It is startling and jolts you out of a peaceful walk from over a block away. This is a nuisance. My office is on the northwest corner of the Showers Building and I can hear the unit through the brick walls. When will you be upgrading this entire unit? It seems to be chronically having these loud sound issues.
Resident emailed property manager in regard to uneven sidewalk right next to her unit at 1250 N. Crescent rd. picture attached.
The grass is overgrown and has been unattended for a significant amount of time.
