Sidewalk in front of optometry impassable and dangerous.
The sidewalk northeast of Washington St and Smith Ave intersection hasn't been plowed. It's adjacent to Parks & Rec property, the Allison-Jukebox Community Center. They cleared by the playground but I think they forgot this is also Parks property. Thanks!
The walk around at the new convention center construction site (between College and Walnut just south of 3rd) is not being maintained. Please forward this to engineering, as they have a special responsibility towards construction detours. Thanks!
The B-line is rapidly developing an icing situation. Thank you for plowing it this year! But we need to respond more promptly to the situation a couple days after the snow falls. The remaining traces of snow turn into ice. A small amount of targetted salt would solve it, as it is mostly isolated spots. But it is a real hazard and will be until it's treated, as this cold is likely to stick around. Thanks!
All of the properties along the west side of Madison St south of 17th street for a block and a half have not shoveled their sidewalks. Addresses 1221 N Madison St, 1217, 1213, 1205, 1203, 1201, 1123, 1121, 1119 N Madison St. Most of these are rental properties, including some newly constructed multi-unit ones that don't seem to have rental permits yet? Anyways, the new landlord needs to learn their property management responsibilities. Thanks!
Gas station at 401 W 17th (southwest corner of 17th & Madison) has not shoveled their sidewalks. Thanks!
For the past couple of years we have experienced an issue with our street snow plowing. As you can see from the picture the road is being plowed approx.. 10-12’ away from my drive and mail box. The other side of the street is plowed nearly to the curb. I am a retired senior citizen and it not recommended that I shovel that much snow. I pay my taxes same as my neighbors but am not receiving the same service. Thank you! Allen Percifield
Another snow report for yall! I previously reported this issue in ticket #206983 on 12/01/2025. City and County snowplows create a large mound of snow where Morton St meets the convention center parking lot, near the B-line. Yellow bollards block car traffic, but pedestrians and cyclists use this intersection to get on the B-line. So now we can’t pass. And it’s like 5.5 feet tall. Thanks for that Fern. Even with my back I tried shoveling again but the snow was too compacted for me to move effectively (and perhaps I should go to the gym lol). For the short term, is it possible for a smaller plow to try clearing a path through? I hope this berm isn’t stuck here til springtime. In the long term, I have a few ideas: 1) have the plow on Morton street plow southward as much as possible, so only the short stretch north of Smith ends up at that intersection (I know there could be other logistical factors I’m unaware of to make that impossible) 2) have a smaller snow plow (like used on the B line) ready to go in the area, so it can go back and forth to keep the path clear even as the big snow plows pile up the snow. Idk I’m not a city planner so I’m sure there are reasons my ideas wouldn’t work, but I hope yall can come up with a solution to keep this path clear. Thanks for your work in managing the snow. It’s a Sisyphean task. In the meantime I’m going to work on my back and go to the gym so I can shovel better next winter.
Street outside of Morton garage entrance is very narrow due to snow and not wide enough for two cars to pass
