Accessibility issue on E. 6th Street sidewalks, behind the public library. Where the library's driveways cross the sidewalk, the wheelchair areas are very narrow and uneven. Is this something the city will replace, or is it up to the library?
Very difficult to determine trash collection schedule for next week (Christmas week). Sanitation page says "one day delay" on "December 24 (Christmas)." Really? Christmas is the 25th!
I walk downtown early morning and have noticed there is much more trash laying around than normal. There used to be a couple of city workers out every day picking up the trash, but it seems like this is no longer happening.
There is an area on S Weatherstone Ln, which I marked on the attached map, that needs street lights for safety reasons. There are no street lights in that area currently.
I would like to put in a request for street lights, hopefully in a contemporary style (crosses fingers), along N. Oolitic Dr from W. 11th to W. 12th. Along W. 12th from Oolitic to Lindbergh. When I say "contemporary style," I mean some kind of design like this https://www.archiexpo.com/prod/neri/product-52638-897284.html#product-item_895830 No matter, just lights in general would be appreciated.
I'm writing about the lighting situation on N Rosewood. Along this road, the street lights are sparse, and the distance between the street lights sometimes covers two blocks. The light seems to be dimmer, not sure if this is due to the tree branches blocking the lights or the lights are failing. Considering a decent amount of traffic on this road (due to the high school and a corporate building nearby), it is both inconvenient and sometimes unsafe for residents (especially kids) to walk in that area after sunset (when it's almost pitch dark). Would it be possible to install a few more lights in between the existing ones, or check existing lights to increase brightness.
To whom it may concern, I am a physically active resident of Bloomington, however have been spooked quite a few times as a result of the lack of street lights. The attached picture was taken at 5:30 pm on the west side of Bryan Park as I was walking towards campus to meet my husband for dinner. Is it possible for additional Street lights top be placed along Henderson Dr. to allow residents sick add myself top go running in the early morning and the later evening hours?
We would like to have a street light installed between Bayberry Drive and Azalea Lane
How do I request to have street light attached to telephone pole moved down one or two, closer to 3 way stop sign
