The button for the dog water fountain is sticky. I've walked past it a couple times and water is trickling out of the lower bowl. If I push the button a couple times it gets unstuck and the water stops.
There is an accumulation of sticks, trash, and general debris that has dammed the stream running alongside the B-Link Trail, approx. 600 feet from S Walnut Street. As of late, whenever we experience heavy rains, the water floods onto the trail itself, as photographed.
The sidewalk at the north edge of the Goat Farm is covered with mud and water. I reported this on 3/30, #172124, and it was cleaned up. The problem appears to be a lack of drainage causing the standing water and residual mud.
I would like to complain about all of the rain outs at the Winslow baseball fields when there is no active rain. Games are being canceled by the city when the Smithville and Ellettsville leagues are still playing games. Both other leagues have people on the field clearing water and putting down quick dry every day while it appears very little effort is given to clearing water from the Winslow fields. Having city employees work on the fields or allowing volunteers to do so would make a big difference.
Games canceled again tonight even though there has been no rain in 36 hours. There were no attempts to work on them yesterday to remove water so they could have a chance to dry out today.
I completely understand that weather is no one‘s fault, but we need to find a way to protect the Winslow baseball fields from rain. My family and many others have paid for the Bloomington junior league baseball Association season and we are now going on the third consecutive night of canceled games. Only field three appears to have standing water. Can you all please work to find a solution to maybe cover or tarp the infield so they do not get waterlogged and the games can be played. The grass on the city side of the ditch is waist high, last time this was cut the city threw a rock into the Storage Express window and I really don't want that to happen again. Can a crew get out to the ditch and trim it before we have another flood and the water has no where to go?!!!
On-going issue. Sediment buildup in open ditch south of storm sewer discharge pipe is impeding/stopping flow of storm water runoff in open ditch further downstream from where pipe daylights. Attached site plan clearly shows the pipe is not daylighting on our property as was concluded by CBU supervisor on previous ticket #169150. The centerline of the open ditch is approximately 15' off of our building wall and the site plan shows the property line at 11.08' from our building wall. The rainwater backup caused from the sediment buildup is back flowing into our drive/parking lot during rain events. I have other photos from several rain events that I can forward through email to provide evidence of the issue. If possible we'd like to meet a CBU supervisor on-site at their earliest convenience to discuss the issue.
Hi! One of the street trees outside my home is dead. We would love to have it removed and a new tree planted. I think the new tree should be moved a few feet over (a few feet east), as I think this tree may have died due to proximity to city water lines. Thank you.
