Several cars without parking permits are consistently parking in Neighborhood Zone 2 permit-only spaces. I paid for a Zone 2 parking permit and I cannot find a parking spot on Swain Ave. (where I live) because they are almost all filled with non-permitted vehicles. I'd like to request stricter enforcement of parking laws in Zone 2.
Case # 158345 has NOT been resolved, but yet Christina Smith has determined to close it. Her response was to have my step-daughter call a phone number to arrange permit payment. Problem being she has called this number numerous times and it is never answered. The bill has not been paid (although we'd love to pay it) so I fail to see how the case can be considered closed. Do I have to call the BBB or seek private counsel to attempt to resolve this? I find it rather annoying that you make it next to impossible for anyone to attempt to do business with you.
MORTON STREET PARKING GARAGE: Why is no one ever there during advertised business hours? My step-daughter would love to pay her bill but there is NEVER anyone there to take her payment. Of course, your limited availability makes it next to impossible to attempt to resolve this issue.
I am in the process of planning our office closure in Bloomington and have a question related to the alley that is located to the west of our current building. What would I need to request for the alley to be partially closed for a day or two for a moving truck to be parked there while we move out furniture?
Hi there, I live in an apartment complex in Elm Heights and have a question regarding the street parking on south side of 2nd street between Henderson and Fess where the Elm Heights Bloomingfoods used to be. Currently, the signs state that the parking is 2 hours, which made sense when the building was in use. However, neighborhood parking on the surrounding streets is pretty tight during the majority of weekdays when IU is in session. Unfortunately, there have been times when I have had to make use of these 2 hour spots due to the lack of availability of street parking near my dwelling and have been subsequently ticketed. Is there any specific reason why these spots are still being enforced with a 2 hour limit even though Bloomingfoods went out of business? Is there any way the 2 hour limit could be removed for those that display a neighborhood zone permits until a new tenant is found for the building? I understand that I am responsible for the fees incurred by my violation for this current 2 hour policy, but fail to understand why it is being maintained so aggressively given the fact that the reason for implementing the 2 hour street parking (accessibility for Bloomingfoods customers) is no longer valid. This is a photo looking south on Dunn from Cottage Grove. I've walked to and from class several days now and there are always cars parked on both sides of the street here. One side of the street (the far side in this photo) has clear No Parking signage. With cars parked on both sides, I don't think fire trucks could make it through here if needed. This appears to be a regular problem area that Parking should check daily if not more frequently.

There's a white Ford Ranger that's been parked in front of 313 E 12th from 5 days now without moving. I placed a penny on the left rear tire of the vehicle Friday evening and it is still there. City code provides that vehicles left on the street without moving are consider abandoned after 72 hours. I live in 313 and my fiancée and I would like to park where this truck is, but it's effectively taking up two parking spaces. Thank you.
