Location of your Problem: 1800 E Second
Details: Residential Neighborhood Parking sign missing? The other day a car parked in the 1800 bloc of E Second Street got a ticket. I felt sorry for the person because there was no "Residential Neighborhood Parking" sign at that section of Second Street. There are 2 close by but they could be perceived as pertaining only to those sections and not to the next, where the car was parked. If parking is not allowed there (which I think it is not) could you please put up a sign? Thanks.

Location of your Problem: 1821 and 1824 E Thornton Drive
Details: I live on East Thornton Drive in Beechwood Manor II. I have a copy of the ordinance for our neighborhood (found in plat book 7, page 99). The ordinance states that "Every dwelling shall have a ...driveway... All residents are to park off the street on these drives..." Two of my neighbors regularly park thier cars on the street. House 1821 parks one of their cars on the street, and house 1824 parks 2 cars on the street. This is becoming an issue because snow plows cannot clear snow effectively and the trash trucks need to pull back and forth multiple times to turn around in the cul-de-sac. Will someone from the city remind my neighbors that they cannot park in the street? Thank you!

903 E. Second my complaint when the gravel was deposited last spring is that some of the gravel spilled over onto the sidewalk. That gravel is still there and presents a slippery hazard for running children (or walking old people). Can you get them to remove the gravel they spilled on the sidewalk (near the alley entrance)?

At a neighborhood Fourth of July party, the question came up on whether the faded stop sign at the corner of Forrester (north side) and Daniel will be replaced and moved in front of the tree that partially blocks it so motorists will stop at that intersection. We have a lot of children who walk to the park by both stop signs on Forrester and Daniel, so we were hoping there is a way to mark those intersections so they stop. Is there anyone in the city we should pose this question to? Thanks for any advice you can provide.
