In the alley adjacent to Bloomington Center for Global Children at 1111 North Walnut Street, traffic often travels both ways. As a parent who picks up a young child there, I am keenly aware of the danger presented by a two way alley adjacent to a child care center. I am requesting that this alley be made one way with traffic control as well, as the traffic traveling north on Walnut street presents another danger to those individuals turning west into the alley next to the center.

Traveling north or south on Fee Lane and in the left turn lane, to turn onto 17th St., you don't get the left turn arrow when light turns green. I work at I.U. and thought it was a fluke at first but it's been this way for at least a week. Thanks

I was struck that there are pedestrian ramps on the south side of W. 3rd St. This indicates to me, as a pedestrian, that there is an intention for me to be able to cross Patterson Blvd. Having done this on multiple occasions, I take my life in my hands: there is a right-hand turning lane on Patterson at 3rd. Many vehicles turn right onto Patterson while traveling east on 3rd, and don't anticipate a pedestrian. There is no crosswalk at this location, which will be imperative with the new retail development just west of this intersection. While I doubt that there are many pedestrians crossing here, you may as well anticipate a crossing signal, which would be a kindness.

Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. I apologize if this came across as somewhat hostile, I know whoever reads this is probably not at fault.

Hello. I am the property manager for Tamarron HOA. There is a cross walk to Univeristy Elementary School from Tamarron. We are having issues with speeding vehicles and children crossing the street. At the HOA board meeting tonight it was suggested putting a three way stop sign at the intersection of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive to at least slow the traffic down. Who do we contact about this? One Board member brought up if there is a stop sign on the north end of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive, it will re-route cars down the south side of Tamarron so maybe installing two stop signs at each end of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive. Curb has disintegrated over the years. As people turn from Jackson st onto Smith Ave they are driving onto my property due to there being a lack of boundary between the road and my back yard. My property is 606 W. Howe Street and the issue is the the backyard where it boarders Smith Ave. My husband and I would really appreciate it if this curb could be rebuilt to prevent further damage. At the intersection of Henderson and Winslow, the walk signals to cross Henderson are activating every time. Until a few months ago they only activated if the button was pushed to cross. Henderson already had a very short green cycle. With the length of the green cycle for Winslow to accommodate the walk signal this guarantees a long wait for traffic traveling north/south on Henderson. Hopefully this is not intentional and things can return to the walk signal activating on the button push. If the change was intentional, please lengthen the time Henderson has the green light.
