Mr. Kellams is a board member for the Brighton Point HOA. The property located at 3760 E Brighton Ave has a PVC drain pipe located on the southern end of their property that drains directly across another property and on down to an inlet to the W of 886 S Baldwin Dr. This drainage has become a problem for this property. The board has tried to work with the property owner at 3760 in coming to a mutual resolution on getting it fixed, but he is not willing to work with them. Mr. Kellams has visited Brad Jackson downtown and he referred Mr. Kellams to you. I explained that you were out until next week, but he would like to speak with you upon your return, and set up a time to meet you on site to see the problem and discuss possible solutions.
In morning particularly, around 7:45a, the timing of the traffic signal at Walnut and Grimes often causes a backup in the northbound lanes of Walnut all the way to Hillside, due to people trying to turn west onto Grimes. Is it possible to re-time this signal? Thank you!
A tree on the city portion of his property is dying and dropping branches -- seems to be a hazard for kids riding bikes in the neighborhood.
Mrs Kumar came in 08/30/16 and said she has spoken with HAND and PW about the overgrowth in the ditch in front of her house and they sent her to Utilities. I told her I would look at it.
Mr Williams left a voice message for me on 8/14/15 regarding drainage in the back yard area of his neighborhood.
Ms Adams left a voice message saying some work was done with the drainage ditches on her street this morning in the neighbor's ditch and also some asphalt paving was done right in front of her driveway and it's going to move a lot of water down her drive. She wants to get another drainage grate or a culvert or something at the corner of Pickwick. She said her property and the property next to her have spent thousands of dollars to manage the water that comes through their property and the city has been using their properties as drainage. The work they did on the street is going to put tons of water to the drain in front of their garage but it won't handle it all now. She is petitioning to see what they can do to get a storm grate put in.

There is one problem; there is an open drainage ditch running the length of the front yard where it meets the road. I assume it is a city easement and is city maintained. I am first and foremost quite concerned about the possibility of children being injured in the ditch, and would welcome the city installing proper pipes and covering the area. I’m also concerned about any liability I might have as homeowner. How might I go about obtaining a letter from the city which states that the city is responsible for maintenance of the ditch and has liability for any injuries that may occur? Thank you. Contractor wants to meet onsite to discuss a storm drainage prroblem and ways to correct it. Address: 2741 S Jalen Ct. Home sits below the curb line and has a swale in the backyard; both of which complicate the matter. The neighboring homes are all higher in elevation and drain straight to this property. Contractor would like to figure out a suitable correction that does not jeopardize CBU infrastructure, etc. Please contact him by phone today to set up a site visit.
