414 S. Meadowbrook Drive has landscaping that is causing significant line-of-sight problems at a curve in the road. The usable width of the roadway is also affected. Neighbors are hoping that the city can contact the owners about cutting back the vegetation.
As the city refuses to put a light at the entrance of Blue Ride and N. Walnut you need to lower the speed limit starting at the light at Cascades. When turning left out of the neighborhood it is somewhat blind, so you can often pull out and a car comes right up on you. The speed limit on Tapp from 37 is much lower with no business or a neighborhood.
10th Street crosswalk needs altered it makes 10th Street literally unpassible on campus slow is one thing un passable is another
I reported this previously and I received a response that all signs are clearly marked (apparently not). The signs indicating "One Way" on the corner of E 6th and Grant, and for that matter, at any intersection on E 6th Street, are not sufficient. There need to be *large* signs indicating DO NOT ENTER to vehicles attempting to turn left onto E 6th from two-way roads that run perpendicular (i.e. Grant, Lincoln). The current signage is not sufficient. Please fix this before a pedestrian or a driver is seriously injured.
The alley next to 1010 W 7th's fence has enough growth that it is impossible to pass by in a car without driving through it somewhat. The turn from Smith Road onto 10th street has poor visibility and is reported as being dangerous - could use additional signage or some other way to increase safety.
Requesting road improvements to North smith or Morningside deterrent. Traffic at end of business day constantly goes through Morningside lots and quickly due to smith backup.
ACCESSIBILITY: I ride the bus to work at the Gov. Agency building at 1531 S. Curry Pike, and there most definitely needs to be a sidewalk that continues to wrap around further toward the bus stop so that wheel chairs or folks with other disabilities do not fall into the road. The area is super muddy, and even someone with good balance like me can't walk through it. There is a sidewalk leading through the parking lot, but where the bus drops you off there is no actual sidewalk, and the bus won't drop someone off at the actual sidewalk due to it obstructing the parking lot entrance. All it would take is probably about 20-30 feet of sidewalk right there. There may already be a number of complaints, but I really hope it gets fixed so someone doesn't flip their wheelchair into the road or something. I live between Kenwood Dr. and 16th Street where it intersects with Madison Avenue. Kenwood Dr. and 16th street are both very small, and I have a couple of reasons to think that they should be made one ways. I have had multiple times where I have been trying to turn into Kenwood Dr. from Madison, and had a car blocking my way because they were coming out that way. Similarly, I have not been able to get into my parking lot on 16th street because of someone coming from Madison as I was coming in from Woodburn Avenue. It would really help the flow of traffic if there were one way signs, and clearer street signs in this area, and prevent traffic blocks on these small roads. On Kenwood drive, there is an apartment complex with diagonal parking, facing east. I have noticed that the car on the end has a lot of dings, from people turning into their car. I think this is happening because of the fact that when another car is blocking your way, you have to make a wide turn into Kenwood Dr. and then the person's car is in the crossfire. I hope this is clear enough evidence and that it will be taken into consideration.
Can we please get a barrier like cones to partition the bike lane on third? This would help bikers feel safer and actually use the lanes and cars from blocking other cars and buses and creating problems by CONSTANTLY parking in a no parking area by slowing down and pulling over. I get annoyed as a driver but would be even more mad if trying to bike or driving a bus.
