Hello, I am writing you again to address the storm water issue we have in front of our property. It has been almost a year since the process of fixing this issue has started and it is becoming frustrating. We have been very patient, and we understand that there are priorities in the city but if this issue is not addressed the road will continue to erode and soon we will not be able to access our driveway. As I stated, we started the process in March 2022; we waited until September and submitted another ticket UReport 181323; this time the crew came and did some work (since we did not receive any information, we did not know if they are finished by the way they left the project for the past few months). I wish I could attach more photos of the "finished " project. Anyway whenever they cleaned the trench, the asphalt was scraped, and everything was left as is and every time it rains all the dirt and sediments go in the culvert clogging it. The rain today made everything worse, the culvert is clogged and the water is again on the street. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing. Below is the first email we sent on March 14, 2022 Hello, We are contacting you with hopes of getting some advice regarding the storm water stream that runs along E Vernon Ave in Matlock Heights neighborhood. There is a storm/ rain water stream( path) that runs under N Dunn Rd , goes west on E Vernon Ave and under Fritz Dr and eventually goes into a larger creek. Over the past few years this pathway has been deteriorating with some of the road erosion happening right before the water goes into the culvert under our driveway. The previous owner of our property added some rocks and blocks but it does not solve the road erosion problem. There is a large Tree of Heaven invasive species growing where the Uplift Pump is located just west of my address, 4325 E. Weymouth Lane in Parkridge East. I have tied yellow duck tapr around t to make it easier to see. Please remove this tree and any of its' off shoots as it is rather large now and will present a sidewalk safety issue. Thank you.

Water is slowly but continuosly leaking from the house at 501 South Mitchell across the Eastside neighborhood pocket park into the storm water runoff ditch. The leak location is close to the house's sewer cleanout and so possibly a sewage leak.

There is a construction crew working on an apartment complex on Gourley Pike, just west of Kinser. They are dragging a large amount of mud into the street and creating a significant mess. It needs to be cleaned up.

Illegal Dumping in Drainage Easement and Common Conservation areas in Gentry South- Course construction sand (over 100 square feet and up to 10" deep) plus tree brush and other mulched woody material, large insect ridden sawed cut logs (including 47" logs), small rock and trash items have been dumped into the drainage easement area behind my house. The area that serves to hold flood water is being filled in, invasives are taking hold where the sand is, and the large debris is damaging trees. I know the area was free from this for at least 6 years prior, even during record water flow. The first occurrence was in early April 2020 and happened again the next year during early April 2021. These dumps are sudden. It was free of more sand at the end of March. Then, a week later there was suddenly a large dump of sand again. I was quoted $4,000 to remove the first dump of sand. Additionally, someone has dumped what looks like yard mulch/waste twice in this neighborhood’s Common Area/Conservation Easement.

1 year after my yard was flooded with mud, this retention hole behind my house is still unfinished and full of weeds! Recently in July they dug up pipes they had installed, and they are still lying there.... who is responsible for finally finishing this mess and mowing the weeds down? I dread another heavy rain and my yard filling with mud again... Please have the people who are responsible finish construction of this area and maintain it properly! Thanks , Dave Reid 812-363-3049

Got a call from next door neighbor who says backyard fence is out of compliance and that they are excavating in their back yard with the intention of installing some "huge metal things" underground.The huge metal things are currently in the driveway at the location awaiting installation.

The Nail Studio on the East side was dumping their cleaning solution into the parking lot. Eventually, this detergent will wash into our waterways. Our MS4 investigated this illegal dumping. At the time we did not see any liquid on the pavement or see evidence it was entering our drain system. We conducted education to the Nail Studio and informed them that dumping any industrial/commercial waste on the ground was prohibited by municipal code.
