Nuisance Lights

2600 W Tapp RD

Case Date:
8/17/2026

The light at West Tapp Road and South Deborah Drive consistently changes to red for the cars on Tapp and remains red for an extended period of time, even when there are no pedestrians or cars coming from Deborah. This happens often enough to where over 50% of my drives have an extended period of waiting at this light, leading to increased fuel consumption, brake wear, and frustration.

Traffic Related Complaints

1017 W Howe ST

Case Date:
8/17/2026

The active construction sites on both Second St and West Kirkwood are causing dangerous traffic flow concerns on Howe St. Traffic that would normally take those routes is now all flowing onto Howe St, which is a two-way street with only one-lane traffic flow, and street parking. Typically, Howe St. is not very active except for local traffic. However, traffic flow is nearly continuous from both directions. Today in particular, (8/17) there has been non-stop traffic flow and I have seen several almost collisions and cars are speeding very fast down the road from both directions. I would highly suggest resolving some of the active construction sites in the area so they are not all occurring simultaneously, or alleviate traffic flow issues by planning better detours. In multiple locations on this side of town, many detour signs simply re-route you to another active construction area. Definitely a safety issue as this is a small neighborhood with pets and pedestrians walking the streets most of the time, and most local homeowners are limited to street parking. Additional construction has also recently been added to 1st street, and S Rogers st also adding to the issue.

Traffic Signals

2600 W Tapp RD

Case Date:
8/17/2026

The light at this intersection turns red when there are no cars sitting at the light on Deborah. Tapp is the main road the the light should remain green unless a car trips the signal from Deborah. Please consider changing this light from a timed light to a car tripped light. Let the traffic flow continue on Tapp.

I don’t know why there aren’t stop signs at either end of second st. The right of way is confusing since if you didn’t think of it as one continuous street, an accident could easily happen. For example, even as a pedestrian I’ve almost been hit just from crossing and not seeing the car come from around the corner of the other side of second street. I think this is a rather dangerous intersection and there’s no reason to not have a couple more stop signs on the ends of second street.

Street & Traffic Signs

1321 W Milieu DR

Case Date:
8/11/2026

The stop sign is missing. I've been aware for a few weeks and have slowed while passing this intersection. Without a stop sign, people drive straight through - right into oncoming traffic. Most of us know we are suppose to stop but with new students arriving, they don't know this. I reported it to The Dillion leasing office but nothing has been done yet.

Traffic Related Complaints

1150 S Walnut ST

Case Date:
8/11/2026

There is currently a flagger and Grimes is limited to traffic flowing in one direction. Traffic flow is severely limited coming from Grimes east of Walnut, which is particularly challenging with the current limitations on Washington (local traffic only). The Grimes lane closure is also not listed on the road work page that you ask people to monitor.

Street & Traffic Signs

2600 W Tapp RD

Case Date:
8/10/2026

Both the lights at corners of W Tapp & Deborah dr and W Tapp & Rockport rd appear to have stopped using the Magnetic loop systems and are on timers now. This is evident both in the mornings(Say 515am) and on the weekends in the middle of the day. Have we stopped using the magnetic sensors at these locations? Stopping every morning as the only car at the intersections waiting for the lights to go in a full rotation seems odd and unnecessary. Just trying to find out what's going on. Thank you!
